With so many heroes and villains making up the cast of My Hero Academia, sometimes some of the lesser known cast members can get lost in the shuffle. Such is the case with the hilariously named Jack Mantis, aka Togaru Kamakiri from Class B of UA Academy. The student who holds the ability to sprout sharp blades from all over his body isn't just attempting to work his ways up the ranks of the school, he also considers himself to be the arch rival for the biggest hot head at the university, Bakugo! Twitter User and translator AitaiKiMochi shared a portion of the recent Boku No Hero Ultra Analysis that lays out Togaru's self imposed status as the number one rival to the explosion wielding quirk user and all around hot head that is Bakugo. Class 1-B has gotten somewhat of the short end of the stick when it comes to screen time in My Hero Academia. First introduced during the Sports Festival Tournament, the twenty students were revealed to be the class that fell right beneath Class 1-A in terms of abilities, quirks, and overall strength.
Led by the pro-hero Sekijiro Kan, aka Blood Hero: Vlad King, the classmates are attempting to move their way up the ladder and hopefully find a way to overtake the kids of 1-A. It's no wonder then that Jack Mantis considers Bakugo to be his main rival, even sporting an appearance that somewhat mimics the hot headed hero's costume that he wears in the field. Whether or not Mantis will eventually confront Bakugo head on is another question, though we would imagine that Bakugo hardly even knows that Togaru exists at this point. The Wano Country Arc is one of, if not the, best story arcs that has taken place in the popular pirate franchise of One Piece. Aside from bringing back a good number of old favorite pirates, both heroes and villains alike, the feudalistic, isolationist nation has presented a nearly insurmountable amount of challenges for Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates to overcome. Now, one fan has decided to take two of the newest characters introduced in the Wano Arc and see just what they would look like if they were aged up, having a time skip all their own. Reddit User Rapondaeoct decided to share their interpretation of both O-Tama and Momonosuke at twenty years old, showing what each of these characters would look like if they were old enough to join the Straw Hat Pirates themselves and hopefully turn the tide of Wano Country. O-Tama and Momonosuke are two interesting characters, with O-Tama being deeply linked to Luffy's brother Arc and the latter actually travelling to the present from the past. O-Tama originally encountered Ace prior to Luffy and crew's arrival at Wano country, with the older brother of Monkey promising to liberate the country.
Of course, with Ace's death, this promise had to go unfulfilled by the fire wielding pirate, but Luffy is looking to finish his brother's work. Momonosuke is the son of a past daimyo of Wano and has the power to transform into a dragon thanks to a Devil Fruit he came into contact with. We're sure to see more of these two as the Wano Arc continues in both the anime and the manga, though we'll cross our fingers that they'll both make it out of one of the most dangerous stories of One Piece alive! The manga has even set a Guinness World Record for the most copies published for the same comic book by a single author, and is the best-selling manga series worldwide with over 430 million copies sold. The series still ranked number one in manga sales in 2018, which surprised fans of major new entries.

When it comes to Demon Slayer, things are going better than ever. The title is one of the top-selling under Shonen Jump, and its volume sales are nothing to laugh at. This month, the series saw its 17th manga volume go live to every fans' excitement, and a massive shortage is already being reported by Japan. And according to a different report, it seems like Demon Slayer's overall sales are ready to take One Piece down from its pedestal. For those who do not know, Japan put out its latest Oricon sales info a day or so ago. It was there fans checked in on Demon Slayer, and they were shocked by what they found. According to the chart's latest results, Demon Slayer has sold a total of 1,114,530 volumes in Japan total this year.
The number is lagging just behind One Piece which has sold 1,252,449 in the last year with its lagging competitor coming in at 280,258 volumes. With six weeks left in this year, fans are starting to wonder if Demon Slayer might do the impossible and take One Piece off his top throne. Since 2000, the pirate-centric manga has been the top-selling manga in Japan year after year. It has only been dethroned three times in that span, but Demon Slayer could make it a fourth. Back in 2001, Vagabond quickly took the crown from One Piece, and it was again taken away in 2005 by Nana. The last time a manga overcame One Piece was in 2006 with Death Note, but Attack on Titan came close to the prize in 2014 as it sold 100,000 volumes less than its competitor. Now, fans are left to wonder if Demon Slayer may pull out some magic with its volumes, and the odds aren't impossible by any means. This past week saw Volume 17 go live in Japan, and bookstores all over the country sold out of it immediately. In its first week, the volume sold nearly 370,000 copies and would have done more if the stock had been available. So if Monkey D. Luffy knows what is good for him, he would strike an alliance with Tanjiro ASAP. 1comments What do you think about this sales competition?
